Rayna M. Gangi is an educator, small businesswoman, author and consultant. She is a Phi Beta Kappa
graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a B.A. in American Studies and
Communications and served three years on the Professional Staff Senate of the University.
Rayna announced her candidacy for President of The United States on October 26, 2009. “Because I
believe we need to take back America, I am running as a Conservative-Independent. I believe
government should be by the Constitution and work for the people, not against them. I believe in small
government, low taxes, and a foreign policy that keeps America the beacon of liberty without apologies
or reservation.”
A Viet Nam-era veteran of the Marine Corps, Rayna was born in Jamestown, New York and raised
close by in Fredonia. Her parents were both successful small business owners and helped mold her
entrepreneurial spirit.
“I’ve worked for IBM, the State University system and Timeplex as a computer specialist so I know
what it’s like to be a corporate employee. I was a financial advisor and training manager for
IDS/American Express and later branched out and started my own independent office. I’ve taught at the
University level, and developed courses for Senior Citizens. I’ve authored three books and written three
historical screenplays. But most importantly, I have always loved my country and believed in our
Founder’s values. My father’s parents were immigrants from Italy, and my mother’s great–grandfather
was a General in the Revolutionary war. My roots are with my country, my training and experience
within the fabric of America. I know how to bring the positive strengths of both sides of the aisle to the
table, and get them back on a course that will bring back peace and prosperity.”
Rayna has not accepted any money from corporations or special interests and started her “journey
back to truth” early because she is, as she says, “a patriot and an American, not a career politician. I
owe no favors and can’t be bought. It’s time to clean out Congress, restore our founding documents,
support our military, audit and close the Federal Reserve, get out of the U.N. and get America back.”
